We were high school sweethearts and after we married, we each pursued careers that would lead us to where we are today, operating Walden's Photography.
Tim found his lifelong passion as he helped his father in the darkroom, watching images magically spring to life in the trays of chemicals as he gently rocked them. He was just twelve years old. At sixteen, he decided to jump in completely, helping his father on portraits, weddings and commercial work, the craft of photography passing down from father to son.
Tim's father, Bob, was paralyzed from an accident when Tim was only six years old and he created Walden's House of Photography, as it was then known, for therapy. Bob never complained and never gave up on life or his career in photography and we learned from him that hard times were simply opportunities to grow stronger.
While Tim pursued photography, Bev graduated from the University of Kentucky where she studied art. Joining Bob and Tim in the studio, she learned the trade of photography as the third shooter. After many years in the camera room, she decided to change direction and started Beau Visage mixed media paintings, adding to what Walden's Photography offered.
Today, the Waldens offer three styles of portraiture; Relationship Black and White fine art portraiture, Color Studies and Beau Visage mixed media paintings.
